Overview

The psychologist will provide specialized psychological counseling to clients with moderate to severe mental health conditions in community and home-based settings. The role includes individual counseling, group and psychoeducational sessions, and needs assessments.

Tasks Summary
  • Provide specialized psychological counseling.
  • Conduct group or information sessions, trainings and psychoeducation.
  • Assess the specific needs of beneficiaries and develop individualized case management strategies accordingly.
  • Provide psychological first aid (PFA) and remote psychological counseling online and by phone, as needed.
  • Perform structured clinical assessments and formulate clear case plans based on cognitive, behavioral and emotional needs.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure organized documentation of assessments, reviews, and follow-ups.
  • Effectively manage urgent cases and make appropriate referrals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services provided while maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Actively participate in supervisory meetings with the MHPSS manager and MHPSS specialist.
  • Provide MHPSS services in emergency situations.
  • Perform any other tasks deemed necessary by the supervisor to support the objectives of the MHPSS program.
Experience Requirements
  • Professional experience in the practice of clinical psychology and providing specialized psychological counseling in a humanitarian setting through a non-governmental organization.
  • Previous experience in health programs and experience working in an NGO is desirable.
  • A clear understanding of protection, case management and client-centered care in humanitarian settings.
Qualification Requirements
  • At least a bachelor's degree or higher in psychology
  • Knowledge and experience in clinical supervision and training.
  • Knowledge of and experience with inter-agency MHPSS standards and guidelines, such as the IASC Guidelines for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergencies.
Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian is required

Languages Preferred: • basic knowledge of English is desirable

Contract Duration:

Work Modality: • Regular site visits are required. • Business trips are possible. • Occasionally, you may be required to work on weekends.

Remuneration: • Salary 68,600 UAH gross
