Overview

The purpose of this position is to contribute with specific technical competences to project implementation, providing legal assistance services to beneficiaries in accordance with Jordanian laws and regulations.

Tasks Summary

• Provide information, counselling and further legal assistance services to ICLA beneficiaries.
• Legal case management of beneficiary cases.
• Provide accompaniment to project participants to governmental entities and police stations.
• Provide legal counselling on Civil Status Law, Landlord and Tenants Law, and Labour Law.
• Monitor court representation cases by external lawyers.
• Provide collaborative dispute resolution (CDR) and accompaniment services.
• Draft legal agreements and contracts, conduct legal analysis and provide legal reports.
• Contribute to legal research, analysis and development of training materials.
• Coordinate with NRC legal aid partners and other service providers.

Experience Requirements

• Experience from working within technical expertise area in a humanitarian/ recovery context
• Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities

Qualification Requirements

• Law bachelor’s degree or higher
• Certified Jordanian lawyer by the Jordanian BAR Association
