Overview

The Supply Chain Assistant Logistics role is responsible for coordinating fleet, warehouse, and inventory operational tasks in the Bidibidi settlement to ensure timely and efficient support to program teams.

Tasks Summary
  • Undertake receiving and verification of supplies, notify program teams of stock arrival, and maintain office store/warehouse.
  • Ensure proper documentation of stock-related transactions and support payment documentation for field-based activities.
  • Replenish fuel, ensure accountability and reporting of automobile allocations, and coordinate/plan vehicle movements.
  • Ensure daily/weekly vehicle safety checks are carried out and relevant records are kept.
  • Maintain documents and records for monthly vehicle reports and prepare/submit fleet-related reports.
  • Receive reports of accidents, take appropriate action, and assess damage in consultation with management.
  • Ensure adherence to DRC operational guidelines, policy, and procedures related to asset management.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability of day-to-day use of DRC assets.
  • Cooperate with regional and country offices for asset transfers, donations, and disposal.
  • Prepare and submit correct reports as required.
  • Maintain a sound archiving system for supply chain-related documentation on the DRC SharePoint platform.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager.
Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' working experience in a busy International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) environment.
  • Understanding of donor financial requirements, conditions, and government budgets and tax policies.
  • Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge/experience of logistical principles, concepts & processes.
  • Experience working with ERP-systems will be an advantage.
Qualification Requirements
  • A Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in procurement and logistics / supply chain management, Business administration with major in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Computer literacy is a MUST.

Languages Required: • Full professional proficiency in English

Languages Preferred: • Professional membership of any certified body related to the profession.
