Overview
The Supply Chain Assistant Logistics role is responsible for coordinating fleet, warehouse, and inventory operational tasks in Arua, ensuring timely and efficient support to program teams.
Tasks Summary
- Undertake receiving and verification of supplies, notify program teams of stock arrival, and maintain the office store/warehouse.
- Ensure proper documentation of stock-related transactions and support payment documentation for field-based activities.
- Replenish fuel, ensure accountability and reporting of automobile allocations, and coordinate/plan weekly/daily vehicle movements.
- Conduct daily and weekly vehicle safety checks, maintain vehicle reports, and manage accident reports.
- Ensure adherence to asset management policies, transparency in asset use, and appropriate documentation for asset transfers, donations, and disposal.
- Prepare and submit reports, maintain an archiving system on the DRC SharePoint platform, and perform other assigned duties.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 2 years' working experience in a busy International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) environment with an understanding of donor financial requirements, conditions, and government budgets and tax policies.
Qualification Requirements
- A Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in procurement and logistics / supply chain management, Business administration with major in procurement or supply chain management
- Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge/experience of logistical principles, concepts & processes.
- Computer literacy is a MUST.
- Professional membership of any certified body related to the profession (Desirable).
