Overview
The Programme Officer (Field Support) will contribute to UNICEF's efforts in implementing the country programme at the Field Office level, managing and leading programme commitments within a defined area of responsibility and ensuring the delivery of quality results.
Tasks Summary
- Contribute to the identification, mapping and development of strategic partnerships with local actors.
- Coordinate the provision of technical assistance and support to local actors.
- Support programme and field operation sections in strengthening upstream work.
- Collect and analyze data for situation analysis and programme development.
- Monitor implementation progress and identify critical intervention points.
- Analyze district level socio-political-economic trends.
- Undertake field visits to monitor and assess programme implementation.
- Identify pockets of acute vulnerabilities in the district.
- Support the implementation of a rights-based programmes approach.
- Collaborate with partners to strengthen quality child rights-based programmes.
- Analyze programme related issues and policies from a children's and women's rights perspective.
- Promote UNICEF goals through advocacy and communication.
- Facilitate partnership and collaboration with internal and external counterparts.
Experience Requirements
- 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working in collaboration with districts, local NGOs and other local and community-based actors is considered an asset.
- Background/familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Government, Public Administration, Public Policy, Social Policy, Social Development, Community Development, or another relevant technical field.
