Overview
The Operations Analyst will support the World Bank Group Joint Country Representation in Djibouti, contributing to operational activities and portfolio monitoring.
Tasks Summary
- Contributes to operational activities at all stages of project design and implementation, including concept note development, communication facilitation, correspondence drafting, budget review, fund monitoring, client billing assistance, mission scheduling, meeting arrangements, and record maintenance.
- Conducts research and analytical tasks on country issues, maintains databases for country monitoring notes and updates, drafts briefing materials for meetings and management visits, and prepares materials for portfolio reviews and team meetings.
- Interacts with country and task team members, and government agencies on the Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) and other strategic cooperation documents, preparing standard sections and reviewing documents for consistency.
- Works with the Resident Representative on portfolio monitoring, analyzing operational data, and providing reports to management, coordinating with Resource Management staff for data accuracy, and identifying portfolio quality issues.
- Coordinates with IFC teams to ensure alignment with IFC strategy and objectives, and analyzes completed projects against projected results.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of work experience. Experience in the field(s) of public policy, international development and/or economics preferred.
Qualification Requirements
Master’s degree in relevant field (Economics, International Development/Affairs, Public Policy or related field).
