Overview
Contributes to implementing, running and monitoring health programmes in cooperation with the health team, according to the objectives set out in the delegation's annual planning for a specific geographic area or field of activities.
Tasks Summary
- Plans and organizes internal or external trainings.
- Supports and assists in assessment when required.
- Is responsible for the organizations/monitoring/reporting/ of the trainings.
- Is responsible for the monthly data reporting.
- Take responsibility in reporting, including achievements and challenges.
- Can monitor and analyze data.
- Monitor the implementation of capacity building trainings.
- Discusses and submits SRs.
- Participates in internal/external meetings and writes Minutes of Meeting.
- Keeps up to date documents.
- Keeps a good networking with the relevant stakeholders.
- Translates/checks relevant documents when needed/requested.
- Is responsible to request and follow up of the needed material.
- Can organize/support mass casualty, disaster preparedness trainings.
- Contributes to infection prevention and control measures.
- Reports timely Health Care in Danger concerns.
- Translates/interpretates when required.
- Implementation of the ICRC HiD support activities and project.
- Monitors the implementation of project according to Plan of action.
- Supports capacity building of prison health staff and prison authorities.
- Monitors and promotes the appropriate use of medicines.
- Receives the information, analyses and contributes to the HiD activities.
- Assists the medical staff in developing and implementing hygiene protocols.
- Facilitates follow up of referral cases, reports individual medical assistance.
- Maintains networks that enable a good understanding of other health programs.
- Supports the Detention Nurse/Doctor and health services in the follow up on Initial Medical examination, documentation, and health filing system.
- Treats information of registered cases accurately and with confidentially.
- Collects and enters monthly activity data.
- Contributes in processing financial procedures.
Experience Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of total work experience (including 2 years of clinical experience) with minimum 2 years’ experience in the humanitarian sector.
- Good connections with local health authorities or groups of interest for the ICRC.
- Excellent knowledge of the assigned geographic area.
Qualification Requirements
- Degree in medicine or nursing.
- Qualifications in public health or health management a strong asset.
- Licence to practice in his/her own country.
- Licence to practice in country of residence.
