Overview

Oxfam Iraq is seeking an on-call driver with a personal vehicle to provide transportation services for staff, visitors, and official errands on an as-needed basis.

Tasks Summary

• Safely and responsibly perform official transportation tasks using a personal vehicle.
• Ensure continuous vehicle maintenance and cleanliness.
• Take into account road conditions, accessible routes, and locations.
• Carry out required official duties and assignments.
• Provide transportation for staff, visitors, and guests.
• Carry out logistical errands such as delivering letters, paying bills, and purchasing office supplies.
• Assist in transporting materials.
• Accurately complete the vehicle logbook.
• Check engine oil, water, brakes, tire pressure, battery, and overall vehicle condition monthly or every 5,000 km.
• Maintain vehicle documents and records.
• Report service needs and carry out minor repairs.
• Immediately report any accidents, damage, loss, or theft.
• Use available information sources to update knowledge of road conditions and share with other drivers.
• Assist other colleagues when no transportation tasks are pending.
• Perform other office-related tasks upon request.

Experience Requirements

• At least two (2) years of experience as a driver with references.
• Experience with NGOs is considered an advantage.
• No major accidents within the past two years.

Qualification Requirements

• Minimum secondary school education.
• Valid driving license.

Other Details

Languages Required: • working knowledge of Arabic

Languages Preferred: • working knowledge of English is an advantage

Remuneration: • Payment will be made solely for trips completed for Oxfam, based on rates to be defined later in the on-call driver contract.
