Overview

The Child Protection Specialist will provide technical assistance, guidance, and monitoring for child protection focused projects, working with CSO partners on activities such as case management, child friendly spaces, and psychosocial support.

Tasks Summary
  • Participate in the technical review of protection proposals and budgets.
  • Review partner logframes and monitoring tools.
  • Conduct capacity assessments of protection partners and develop capacity development plans.
  • Provide capacity development, including trainings and mentoring, to CSOs implementing child protection activities.
  • Ensure workplans are in line with child protection technical guidance.
  • Conduct technical monitoring visits and regular follow up meetings with partners.
  • Support non-protection partners with child protection mainstreaming.
  • Liaise with partners regularly on ongoing challenges, successes, and lessons learned.
  • Coordinate with Protection colleagues from other consortium members.
  • Coordinate with other Protection technical colleagues to develop training packages and protection partnerships tools.
  • Coordinate with the Child Protection AoR as needed.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in child protection programming.
  • Previous proven experience in child protection programmes implemented through local partners or in remote management.
  • Experience in Child Protection Information Management System (CPIMS+).
  • Proven experience in capacity building and training of local partners in child protection.
Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in international relations, social work, law or another relevant field.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Full professional proficiency in English.

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: Three months probationary period, with 11-month extension following successful completion of probationary period.

Work Modality: 50% travel time to Mykolaiv
