Overview

The ECD Officer reports to the Chief of Section for supervision. The Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for ECD and early learning programmes/projects within the Country Programme from development planning to delivery of results.

Tasks Summary

• Programme management, monitoring and delivery of results.
• Technical and operational support to programme implementation.

• Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building.
• Advocacy and policy influence to advance Early Childhood Development.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of two years of professional experience in social development planning and management in early childhood development and learning related areas is required. Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset. Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.

Qualification Requirements

A university degree in one of the following fields is required: education, psychology, sociology, human development, child development, family studies or another relevant technical field.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
