Overview
Provides technical support for the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of social policy programming and related advocacy. Focuses on improving public policies to reduce child poverty, social protection coverage, public investments for children, and governance for social services.
Tasks Summary
- Supports the collection, analysis, and presentation of data on child poverty.
- Analyzes the macroeconomic context and its impact on children.
- Supports the development of social protection policies, legislation, and programmes.
- Undertakes budget analysis to inform advocacy and technical assistance.
- Collaborates with authorities to improve policies, planning, budgeting, and accountability for child-focused social services.
- Establishes partnerships to support the Convention of the Rights of the Child and SDGs.
- Manages and coordinates technical support around child poverty, social protection, public finance, and governance.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of five years of relevant professional work experience is required.
- Experience working in a developing country is considered as a strong asset.
- Background and/or familiarity with emergency is considered as a strong asset.
- Demonstrated experience on public finance and/or child poverty analysis is an asset.
Qualification Requirements
- An advanced university degree in Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, or another relevant technical field is required.
- A first University degree combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree in the field of journalism, communications, external relations, public affairs, public relations or corporate communications.
