Overview
Provides technical support for the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of social policy programming with a focus on advancing Family Friendly Policies. Contributes to improving public policies, social protection, child-focused public investments, and governance.
Tasks Summary
- Supports the collection, analysis, and presentation of data on child poverty and the link to family friendly policies.
- Provides data-driven analysis for planning and development, and facilitates results-based management.
- Analyzes the macroeconomic context and its impact on social development and children.
- Supports the development of social protection policies and family friendly policies.
- Promotes strengthening of integrated social protection systems.
- Undertakes monitoring and research on the impact of family friendly policies.
- Undertakes budget analysis to inform advocacy and technical assistance.
- Supports the identification of policy options for improved domestic financing.
- Collaborates with authorities on the expansion and implementation of family friendly policies.
- Strengthens capacity on data collection, analysis, and monitoring of social care services.
- Supports the use of data and evidence for advocacy and programme support.
- Establishes partnerships with government, donors, NGOs, civil society, and other UN agencies.
- Manages and coordinates technical support around family friendly policies.
- Supports effective and efficient planning, management, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of the country programme.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of five years of relevant professional work experience is required.
- Experience working on evidence generation, programming or implementation of family friendly policies or the care economy in Malaysia.
Qualification Requirements
An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, or another relevant technical field.
