Overview
To develop recommendations and standards for the creation, implementation, funding, and sustainability of multidisciplinary, inter-agency (MDIA) centers for children who have experienced violence in Poland. The role aims to strengthen the response to violence against children through improved policies and enhanced institutional capacity.
Tasks Summary
- Developing recommendations for Polish government on creating, implementing, funding, and sustaining MDIA centers.
- Developing Poland-specific standards for MDIA centers, covering service standards, competency profiles, training frameworks, and quality/M&E.
- Leading and coordinating consultations and validation of recommendations and standards with stakeholders.
- Providing consultations on the subject of the assignment to UNICEF, Polish government, and stakeholders.
- Preparing and presenting deliverables during meetings, events, and a closing conference.
- Ensuring deliverables are child-centred, trauma-informed, child rights-based, and aligned with relevant guidance and standards.
- Ensuring deliverables are based on evidence generation within the project.
- Ensuring visibility of UNICEF, the project, and European Commission support.
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 years of proven experience in the field of child protection (including response to violence against children).
- In-depth, preferably international technical knowledge and experience in designing, implementation, and evaluation of MDIA centers.
- In-depth knowledge on the models of MDIA centers existing in other EU countries.
- Proven expertise in providing advice to governments or international organizations in the field of response to violence against children.
- Proven expertise in developing and writing analytical reports, recommendations, or standards.
- Strong understanding of psychosocial needs of children who have experienced violence, models of multidisciplinary and intersectoral cooperation in cases of violence, and trauma-informed approach.
- Familiarity with case management, seven strategies for ending violence against children, Quality Barnahus Standards, and other guidance in the field of MDIA services.
- Excellent understanding of CRC, international, EU acts concerning rights of children victims of violence, general comments and observations of CRC and UNICEF in this field.
Qualification Requirements
• At least Master degree in disciplines such as: law, social work, psychology, other related disciplines.
