Overview

Support the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) in coordinating its work with UN partners, focusing on the implementation of the UN Plan of Action on DRR for Resilience and related initiatives.

Tasks Summary
  • Support UNDRR in organizing interagency deep dives and webinars on DRR and resilient recovery topics.
  • Assist in the implementation of the advocacy & knowledge management plan for the UN Plan of Action on DRR.
  • Produce content for the UN Plan of Action on DRR multimedia page.
  • Curate and support the dissemination of good practices from UN entities.
  • Implement a dissemination plan for the UN Plan of Action on DRR Annual Report 2025.
  • Assist UNDRR in reviewing the integration of DRR in UN entities’ Strategic Frameworks.
  • Review the integration of DRR, gender-responsive DRR, and resilient recovery in UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Frameworks and Joint Work Plans.
  • Support the incorporation of feedback from partners.
  • Produce summary reports.
  • Support the organization of events and drafting knowledge products to disseminate findings.
Experience Requirements
  • At least two years’ experience in administration, programme/project management or related area is required.
  • Experience in disaster risk reduction or related topics is required.
  • Experience in international organizations and in working in a multicultural environment is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
  • Advanced university degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Economic Development, Development Studies, Social Science, International Development, Political Science, International Relations, or any other relevant field is required.
  • A first-level university degree in combination with a minimum of 2 additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Languages Required: • Fluency in English is required.

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge in French and other UN languages is desirable.

Contract Duration: • 15.02 - 15.07.2026
