Overview

The Project Associate will support the Project Manager in the day-to-day implementation of project activities for the Kigali Implementation Plan (KIP) for the Republic of Türkiye Project. This includes drafting progress reports, liaising with stakeholders, and providing administrative and logistical support.

Tasks Summary
  • Support the preparation of AWPs, annual budgets, and procurement plans.
  • Provide general administrative and logistic support for project activities.
  • Support the control of budget expenditures and non-expendable equipment.
  • Collect, compile, translate, and update relevant project information.
  • Draft Terms of References and other administrative documentation.
  • Organize project meetings, reviews, site visits, and events.
  • Prepare inputs to APR and compile project reports.
  • Assist in the evaluation of bids and offers.
  • Assist in the selection of project experts and consultants.
Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible administrative experience with a high school diploma, or 4 years with a bachelor’s degree.
  • At least one (1) year of project experience is required.
  • Experience in project cycle management in the public or private sector or NGOs or international organizations.
  • Experience in budget planning and monitoring is desired.
  • Experience in project management as part of national or international organizations, preferably in the area of environment and sustainable development is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in UN Organizations is desired.
  • Experience in organizing and coordinating events and activities is desired.
  • Experience in at least 1 project in collaboration with governmental organizations and/or local governments is desired.
  • Additional years of experience working with international institutions/organizations is desired.
Qualification Requirements
  • Secondary education is required.
  • University Degree in engineering, urban or/and regional planning, climate change, faculty of science or environmental sciences, or related fields will be given due consideration, but it is not a requirement.
Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in written and spoken Turkish and English is required.

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: 1 Year with Possibility for extension
