Overview

The Case Worker will promote and provide child protection services to girls and boys exposed to risks against their survival, safety, and well-being. The role supports the implementation of essential child protection case management systems in emergency-affected locations.

Tasks Summary
  • Support timely and efficient implementation of the case management process and system.
  • Individually manage cases based on established work procedures and protocols.
  • Report identified children exposed to high levels of risk immediately.
  • Set up and regularly update map services for referrals and support functional referral pathways.
  • Perform identification of cases, consent procedures, full assessment, documentation, referral, and follow-up of at-risk children and families.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of case plans for each registered child.
  • Review the follow-up of cases to ensure they are managed within acceptable timelines and according to the case plan.
  • Ensure confidentiality, ethical guidelines, Information management protocol, and CM SOP are followed.
  • Ensure files, registers, and data on children are used appropriately, correctly, documented, and secured.
  • Make sure all files are safety-copied, kept safely, and updated in the central office.
  • Collate data and submit case management reports on a weekly basis.
  • Feed into weekly, monthly, progress, and other reports, including documentation of best practice, learning, and case studies.
  • Provide direct support to partner staff, offer training, and act as a mentor.
  • Work in close collaboration with the child protection team to strengthen community awareness and safe referral mechanisms.
  • Participate in awareness community-based campaigns.
  • Contribute to training in the technical field of child protection case management in emergencies.
  • Share information on field-level successes and challenges.
  • Ensure major challenges are flagged early and addressed appropriately.
  • Facilitate, collect, and report information regarding the overall situation of child protection risks.
  • Support the preparation of procurement and administrative documents required for case management implementation.
  • Perform other required duties within reason.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of experience in case management, preferably working with case management procedures, humanitarian work, working with vulnerable and at-risk children, caregivers, communities, and individuals.
  • Experience and/or understanding of child protection in emergencies, child-friendly counselling techniques, familiarity with humanitarian principles, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
  • Good knowledge of the Gaza area and fieldwork, as well as familiarity with working conditions in emergency situations.
Qualification Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, social sciences, or any other relevant field.

Work Modality: The Case Management Caseworker will spend most of the time in the field.
