Overview

The consultant will conduct consultations, review documents, and interview stakeholders to analyze business accelerators, financial mechanisms, and public policies. The role aims to provide actionable recommendations for unlocking finance for low carbon technologies for women-led and socially inclusive enterprises.

Tasks Summary

• Conduct initial consultations with UN Women and UNEP.
• Review EmPower documents, existing literature, and practitioner reports.
• Select key stakeholders and conduct semi-structured interviews.
• Finalize a detailed analysis of identified business accelerators/initiatives/facilities, financial mechanisms, and public policies.
• Provide actionable recommendations.
• Incorporate feedback to finalize the analysis and recommendation report.
• Prepare a Powerpoint presentation and present findings.

Experience Requirements

• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis.
• Experience in reviewing policy environments and providing policy recommendations.
• Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports.
• Experience working with UN bodies / international organizations / non-profit sector highly desirable.
• Knowledge about climate finance, SME sector understanding.

Qualification Requirements

• Master’s degree or certification equivalent in social sciences, economics, business administration, statistics, or a related field is required.
• A first-level university degree in combination with five additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in English and Vietnamese is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of the other UN official working language is an asset.
