Tasks Summary

The topic of this project - volunteering and non-formal education of young people. We want to give volunteers the opportunity to try the field of social work for volunteers - an open youth work. We want to offer "to try on a jumper of the Youth worker". The duration of this project – 12 months. Volunteers will be actively involved in the activities - will help administrate activities of hosting organization for youth workers, will be in contact with young people, in the small daily activities (developing social skills of young people - cooking day, housekeeping day and so on), in organizing thematic workshops, camps, hikes, in spreading information about the organization out in public, preparing presentations in other institutions. The entire project will be guided by the principles of non-formal education - efforts are being made to create a safe environment that allows action, learning from experience, and reflecting on what is happening. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements Volunteers will live in one apartment, separate private rooms and have their own space. You will also have free use of a shared fully equipped kitchen, dining room and toilet. The project will cover costs such as accommodation, food, travel and living expenses of the volunteer. Henner prohibits volunteers for the duration of the project. The volunteer will be paid pocket and food money at the end of each month. Training during the activity Upon arrival in Lithuania, the volunteer will have arrival and mid-term training. The training will be about volunteering experience and the Youthpass certificate. At the Telšiai Youth Center, a volunteer will be able to learn to work with young people in an informal way: organize and implement activities, understand a young person and help him in his everyday life. It is also a great opportunity to get to know Lithuania, its culture and traditions. Participant profile All people aged 18-30, who are interested and want to try themselves in the sphere of youth, sincerely interested in the life of teenagers, motivated to work with young people who have less opportunities. The participant is responsible, empathetic, socially responsible.
