Overview
The Interpreter (Arabic) will provide interpretation and/or translation services to support project activities aimed at promoting the integration of beneficiaries of international protection and temporary protection into Greek society.
Key Responsibilities
- Make initial contact with beneficiaries and build open relationships.
- Assist with interpretation and cultural mediation.
- Reply to helpline calls, identify new issues, and report them.
- Record calls in the helpline tracker.
- Develop and maintain good relations with beneficiaries and stakeholders.
- Identify gaps and barriers to service access.
- Translate documents and information materials.
- Assist in mediation activities.
- Provide general assistance to other project staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Minimum one year of relevant work experience.
- Previous work experience in a similar role.
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment preferred.
Qualifications
- High school degree/certificate.
- University degree from an accredited academic institution an advantage.
