Overview

The Infrastructure Analyst (Kubernetes Expert) ensures the smooth operation, administration, and evolution of the IT infrastructure, including systems, servers, and networks, in accordance with service level agreements.

Tasks Summary
  • Implements procedures, playbooks, and automated tasks using Site Reliability Engineering principles.
  • Troubleshoots and makes corrective actions for hardware, virtualization, and storage infrastructure.
  • Collaborates on annual roadmap projects for infrastructure improvement.
  • Implements new systems, including testing and validation.
  • Manages automation tools using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management principles.
  • Writes code to reduce toil and remove repetitive tasks.
  • Participates in feasibility studies and writes technical specifications for RFPs.
  • Provides level 2 and level 3 infrastructure support.
  • Resolves incidents in production and responds to Service Desk tickets.
  • Ensures documentation and standard operating procedures are up to date.
  • May participate in 24x7 on-call duty rotation.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 3 years’ experience building, configuring and managing enterprise infrastructure with a focus on end user environments, virtual desktop solutions and mobile device management solutions. Ten years’ experience in the area is required if the post holder does not have the required level of education.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes operations and Linux system administration.
  • Experience with Rancher for Kubernetes cluster management a plus.
  • Solid understanding of container runtimes, Kubernetes networking, ingress, and traffic management.
  • Skilled in monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring performance and availability of production clusters.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes security best practices, RBAC, secrets management, and cluster hardening.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cluster lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with persistent storage, backup strategies, and multi-environment operations (dev/test/prod).
Qualification Requirements

Three-to-four years’ education at a University or other specialized higher education establishment.

Languages Required: Working knowledge of English is required.

Languages Preferred: Fluency in English is highly desirable. Proficiency in a second official languages of the Organization (Arabic, French or Spanish) would be an additional asset.
