The Associate Finance and Budget Officer will support budget and finance administration within the United Nations Environment Programme, focusing on monitoring expenditures, managing resources, and preparing financial reports.
A minimum of two years of progressive experience in finance, administration, budget, business administration or related area is required. Experience in cost management, budget formulation, financial monitoring, accounting, audit and financial reporting is required.
Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in business administration, finance, or related field is required. A first level university degree combined with an additional two (2) years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is desirable. Relevant training in International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) is desirable.
Languages Required: English is required.
Languages Preferred: French is desirable.
Contract Duration: Appointment against this position is for an initial period of one (1) year and may be subject to extension.
