Overview

This role provides expert advice on procurement policies and procedures for Electric and Hybrid Vehicles and associated charging solutions, contributing to the expansion of sustainable procurement options through the UN Web Buy Plus platform.

Tasks Summary

• Developing technical specifications for Electric and Hybrid Vehicles and charging devices.
• Answering requests for clarifications from bidders during tender publication.
• Performing technical evaluation of bids and developing technical evaluation reports.
• Maintaining documentation for procurement processes.

Experience Requirements

• Relevant experience is work in the field of Fleet management, Automotive industry, Electric and Hybrid Vehicles and associated charging solutions (design, manufacturing, procurement, sales, maintenance and repair, EV and Hybrid fleet management, etc.).
• Relevant experience working in developing countries (e.g., in South Asia and in Sub-Saharan Africa) is desirable.
• Experience in procurement or fleet management of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles is desirable.
• Experience in developing technical specifications for large-scale or international procurement exercises is desirable.
• Experience of procurement with UNOPS and in the UN is an asset.

Qualification Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in the field of Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering with a focus on electric vehicles, or other relevant types of mechanical/electrical engineering with 7 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree (or equivalent) in any of the above or related fields with 5 years of relevant experience is required.
