Overview

The Senior Programme Associate will support the implementation of emergency recovery and resilience projects in Beirut & Mount Lebanon and the South under the ERR unit at IOM Lebanon.

Tasks Summary
  • Assist in planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of project activities.
  • Compile, summarize, analyze, and present project information and data.
  • Monitor budget implementation and propose adjustments.
  • Act as focal point for administrative coordination of projects.
  • Draft status reports, correspondence, and project documentation.
  • Organize meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Respond to information requests and maintain files/records.
  • Participate in meetings and maintain liaison with stakeholders.
  • Monitor work of implementing partners and report non-compliance.
  • Provide inputs for SOPs and concept papers.
  • Provide guidance/training and assist in coordinating/monitoring work of other staff.
Experience Requirements
  • Six years of relevant experience with a school diploma; or
  • Four years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
  • Strong field experience in implementing emergency recovery and resilience interventions, including cash, livelihoods, shelter, WASH and social stability activities.
  • Proven ability to coordinate day-to-day activities in the field.
  • Experience in liaising with local authorities, municipalities, community leaders, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to conduct regular field visits to monitor progress and report findings.
  • Familiarity with community engagement and participatory needs assessment methodologies.
  • Knowledge of resilience and recovery frameworks.
  • Experience preparing field reports, meeting minutes, activity summaries, and inputs for donor reporting.
  • Understanding of emergency response principles and post-crisis recovery.
Qualification Requirements

• School diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in English and French (oral and written).

Languages Preferred: • Working knowledge of Arabic.

Contract Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
