Overview
The Senior Programme Associate will support the implementation of emergency recovery and resilience projects in Beirut & Mount Lebanon and the South under the ERR unit at IOM Lebanon.
Tasks Summary
- Assist in planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of project activities.
- Compile, summarize, analyze, and present project information and data.
- Monitor budget implementation and propose adjustments.
- Act as focal point for administrative coordination of projects.
- Draft status reports, correspondence, and project documentation.
- Organize meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Respond to information requests and maintain files/records.
- Participate in meetings and maintain liaison with stakeholders.
- Monitor work of implementing partners and report non-compliance.
- Provide inputs for SOPs and concept papers.
- Provide guidance/training and assist in coordinating/monitoring work of other staff.
Experience Requirements
- Six years of relevant experience with a school diploma; or
- Four years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
- Strong field experience in implementing emergency recovery and resilience interventions, including cash, livelihoods, shelter, WASH and social stability activities.
- Proven ability to coordinate day-to-day activities in the field.
- Experience in liaising with local authorities, municipalities, community leaders, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to conduct regular field visits to monitor progress and report findings.
- Familiarity with community engagement and participatory needs assessment methodologies.
- Knowledge of resilience and recovery frameworks.
- Experience preparing field reports, meeting minutes, activity summaries, and inputs for donor reporting.
- Understanding of emergency response principles and post-crisis recovery.
Qualification Requirements
• School diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
