Overview
This internship offers an opportunity to contribute to the Strategy Team within VisionFund, focusing on impact data analytics. The role involves measuring client outcomes, benchmarking performance, monitoring strategy realization, and ensuring data quality to support microfinance efforts and communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end implementation of surveys measuring the impact of VisionFund’s financial products, including enhancing existing dashboards, analysing quantitative and qualitative data to generate actionable insights, and ensuring timely feedback loops to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct comparative analysis between externally available data in the financial inclusion sector and impact-operational data from internal databases to identify areas of over- and underperformance.
- Collaborate with the Strategy Realization team to design dashboards that support VisionFund’s management in making informed decisions.
- Provide support to the impact, strategy realization, and IT teams on integrating impact and operational data to drive operational improvements in the MFIs.
- Perform rigorous checks to improve the accuracy and reliability of Micro Finance Institutions’ survey data.
- Investigate the latest trends, evidence, and best practices in financial inclusion from leading industry bodies, regulators, and investors.
Required Experience
Experience in conducting thorough and effective online research to support work and insights.
Qualifications
Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, International Development, or other Social Sciences majors.
