Overview

Implement PCM case management activities and provide case management services to survivors and beneficiaries affected by the crisis in Sheraro, Tigray, Ethiopia.

Tasks Summary
  • Implement general protection case management activities.
  • Identify and receive referrals of individuals facing protection risks and provide tailored protection case management.
  • Conduct intake interviews and open cases if vulnerability criteria are met.
  • Carry out comprehensive protection risk assessments.
  • Develop tailored case plans or safety plans.
  • Seek support for complex cases and participate in debriefing sessions.
  • Work with community structures and partner organizations.
  • Assist in establishing standard integrated protection case management centers.
  • Follow-up case management activities and provide reports.
  • Conduct referrals of beneficiaries and recommend case closure.
  • Support protection monitoring teams.
  • Ensure ethical and statistically sound data collection, analysis, and protection reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all cases.
  • Carry out additional protection activities as assigned.
  • Ensure the maintenance and regular update of case management database and trackers.
  • Enter client data on the DRC Case Management IM system or excel forms.
  • Participate in individual supervision sessions.
  • Participate in internal case conferences, team meetings, training, and workshops.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in an entry to mid-level position in humanitarian protection or relevant social service field.
  • Experience in Tigrai region is strongly mandatory.
  • Experience in direct implementation of Community-Based protection activities.
  • Proven record of community engagement and consultation.
  • Experience in identifying and responding to needs of particular vulnerable individuals based on protection risks, age, gender, and diversity analysis, and/or other criteria.
Qualification Requirements

• University degree in social work, social science, law or other relevant field from a recognized institution.

Languages Required: • Good proficiency in written and spoken English, Amharic and Tigrinya

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: 4 Months

Remuneration: Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National employees
