Overview

The role involves providing situational awareness intelligence assessments on topics related to the Russian Federation and Belarus. This requires coordination with stakeholders, research, and analytical skills to produce various intelligence products for NATO leadership.

Tasks Summary
  • Analyze and provide relevant intelligence assessments in written and verbal format to NATO leadership.
  • Draft intelligence assessments for the NAC, MC, IS and IMS staffs and committees.
  • Provide detailed meeting reports and back-briefs with recommendations.
  • Stay abreast of current intelligence topics relevant to the Alliance.
  • Determine region-related topics of strategic importance and immediate threat to NATO.
  • Conduct analyses of Allied intelligence reporting and open-source intelligence.
  • Manage the flow and distribution of situational awareness knowledge and analysis.
  • Produce intelligence-based assessments to inform stakeholders and support decision-making.
  • Provide documentation to support policy formulation and/or amendment.
  • Support project development and manage work strands simultaneously.
  • Collaborate and coordinate work processes with other entities.
  • Ensure maximum use of existing and new technologies to gather information.
  • Contribute to the tracking and management of a hybrid activities tool.
  • Initiate, organise, attend meetings with Allies and NATO Partner intelligence services.
  • Represent JISD as needed.
  • Ensure clear lines of communications with contributors and customers.
  • Ensure close communication with national services and intelligence stakeholders.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 3 years’ experience in intelligence services with analytical experience at national or international level.
  • Demonstrated expertise on Russia and the Eastern Flank.
  • Knowledge of political-military issues in the region and the strategic issues impacting NATO.
  • Experience in providing written and oral briefs to senior leadership levels.
Qualification Requirements

• A university degree, or equivalent level of qualification, in the field of political science, international relations, security studies or a related subject.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Possess the following minimum levels of NATO’s official languages (English/French): V (“Advanced”) in one; I (“Beginner”) in the other.

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: Definite duration contract of three years; possibility of renewal for up to three years.

Work Modality:

Remuneration: • 6,713.06 Euro (EUR) Monthly
