Overview

Provide independent technical advisory and quality assurance services for solar-powered WASH systems, ensuring compliance with national regulations, international best practices, and UNICEF standards. The role involves validating technical integrity, offering expert recommendations, and generating case studies for knowledge management.

Tasks Summary

• Conduct technical inception and implementation planning.
• Provide design and procurement technical oversight.
• Ensure installation and commissioning quality assurance.
• Validate capacity building and technical training.
• Support sustainability planning and policy.
• Produce technical documentation and assurance reporting.
• Contribute to knowledge management and learning.
• Monitor risks and manage technically in an adaptive manner.

Experience Requirements

At least five years of progressively responsible experience in renewable energy particularly solar solutions for WASH, health, or community infrastructure and in climate-resilient WASH and disaster-risk-reduction (DRR) programming.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline, including but not limited to Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Solar Photovoltaics, Renewable Energy Systems; or other related field.
• Certification or formal training in solar PV system design and quality assurance is preferred.

Languages Required: Proficiency in English is required

Languages Preferred: ability to communicate in local dialects such as Sama-Badjao or Tausug is highly desirable
