Overview
National Consultant for the Management of Unwanted Controlled Substances to support Member States in the collection, transport, and environmentally sound disposal of such substances.
Tasks Summary
- Collect data from key sectors for the years 2023 and 2024, focusing on identifying banks of unwanted controlled substances.
- Participate in stakeholder consultations and support national workshops.
- Assist in the development of a National Action Plan for collection, transport, and disposal.
- Prepare a study on the existing system for management of unwanted refrigerants.
- Propose a scheme for coordinated action among waste management companies and RAC servicing enterprises.
- Support the organization and delivery of a joint training workshop.
- Prepare and submit a final technical report summarizing activities, findings, challenges, and recommendations.
Experience Requirements
A minimum of 5 years experience in implementation of the legislation and projects related to environmental areas of interest is required.
Qualification Requirements
Advanced university degree or equivalent in technical or natural sciences or a Bachelor’s degree in combination with an additional five years of relevant working experience is required.
