Support Macroeconomic Analysis and Data collection

Overview

Online Volunteers will support macroeconomic monitoring for Syria by collecting, structuring, and analyzing key economic data to produce practical analytical outputs for UN economic reporting and policy briefs.

Tasks Summary

• - A clean, well-documented dataset covering inflation, exchange rates, and selected sectoral indicators, with clear sources and time coverage.
• Basic quantitative analysis outputs, including summary tables and charts showing recent trends.
• Short analytical inputs (bullet points or brief notes) highlighting key findings and emerging macroeconomic risks.
• Documented data sources and methodology to enable future updates and reuse.

Experience Requirements

• Master’s degree (ongoing or completed) in Economics with a focus on Macroeconomics or Development Economics.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Basic econometric knowledge (required).
• Strong written communication skills.
