Support for Energy Photo Bank Compilation, Tagging, and Sourcing for SEA

Overview

Online volunteers are sought to support the development of a centralized Photo Bank for the UNDP Sustainable Energy Hub. This role involves uploading, tagging, and sourcing images for the Piwigo platform and applying them to the Sustainable Energy Academy slides in Figma.

Tasks Summary

• Apply accurate and consistent tags to each photo using a provided taxonomy.
• Scrape metadata from Flickr to preserve author, license, and description information.
• Identify and compile additional high-quality, relevant images.
• Replace images in designated Figma slides.
• Document any newly sourced images used in slides in a shared metadata tracking sheet.

Experience Requirements

• Background or interest in visual media, with familiarity in photo metadata (e.g. author, license, description) and a solid understanding of usage rights.
• Strong attention to detail in tagging, naming, and organizing images.
• Clear and effective communication skills for reporting progress and incorporating feedback.
• Experience working with photo content related to energy, climate, or sustainable development is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of Figma is an asset.
