Overview

Internship opportunity to support electrical and data center infrastructure upgrades and deployment of on-site physical infrastructure. The role involves assisting senior engineers with various data center operations and maintenance tasks.

Tasks Summary
  • Assist senior engineers with electrical and data center infrastructure upgrades.
  • Support deployment of on-site physical infrastructure.
  • Conduct physical and logical audits of power and cooling paths.
  • Install and troubleshoot cables and hardware.
  • Respond to facility-level and rack-level events within required SLAs.
  • Support equipment deliveries and structured cabling activities.
  • Perform rack clean-up efforts and switch port optimization.
  • Support Patch Manager and DCIM updates.
  • Analyze power redundancy and resiliency.
  • Monitor airflow and cooling.
  • Conduct site walkthroughs to identify potential failure points.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE).
Experience Requirements
  • Audit: Adopts a structured approach to executing and documenting audit fieldwork, following agreed standards. Maintains integrity of records to support and satisfy audit trails. Identifies typical risk indicators and explains prevention measures.
  • Business situation analysis: Investigates straightforward business situations to identify and analyse problems and opportunities. Contributes to the recommendation of improvements. Follows agreed standards and techniques to investigate, analyse and document business situations. Engages with stakeholders under direction.
  • IT infrastructure: Contributes, under supervision, to routine infrastructure operation. Gains understanding of infrastructure components and services by following the activities of experienced colleagues.
Qualification Requirements

• Currently studying towards a university-level degree or have recently graduated in the past 12 months.

Other Details

Languages Required: A thorough knowledge of one of the two NATO languages, both written and spoken, is essential.

Languages Preferred: Some knowledge of the other NATO language is desirable.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Modality:

Remuneration: 1,334.96 Euro (EUR) Monthly Reasonable travel expenses to start on day 1 and to return to your home location once the internship is complete.
