Data Engineering & Document Processing Intern

Overview

This internship focuses on developing a scalable pipeline for processing and integrating complex document formats, contributing to NATO's digital transformation.

Tasks Summary

• Research and implement systems capable of handling documents such as PDFs, DOCX files, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Gain hands-on experience deploying and testing solutions in Kubernetes environments and preparing them for offline deployment scenarios.
• Design evaluation frameworks, measure system performance, and document technical findings.
• Assist in developing and implementing data pipelines and data stores.
• Perform administrative tasks to provide accessibility, retrievability, security and protection of data.
• Apply given data science techniques to data, analyse and report findings, and remediate simple issues.
• Apply given machine learning techniques to data, analyse and report findings, and remediate simple issues.

Experience Requirements

Qualification Requirements

• Currently studying towards a university-level degree or have recently graduated in the past 12 months.

Other Details

Languages Required: • A thorough knowledge of one of the two NATO languages, both written and spoken, is essential.

Languages Preferred: • Some knowledge of the other NATO language is desirable.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Modality:

Remuneration: • 1,477.30 Euro (EUR) Monthly • Reasonable travel expenses to start on day 1 and to return to your home location once the internship is complete.
