Overview

This internship supports the Operational Tooling Management Team in developing a centralized Splunk-based dashboard to monitor security platforms and automate incident creation. The role involves updating operational documentation to ensure accuracy.

Tasks Summary
  • Develop a centralized Splunk-based dashboard to monitor the health and operational status of security platforms.
  • Integrate Splunk with the organization’s ITSM platform to automate incident creation based on defined thresholds.
  • Review and update operational documentation to ensure accuracy and reflect current workflows and tools.
Experience Requirements
  • Incident management: Follows agreed procedures to identify, register and categorise incidents. Gathers information to enable incident resolution and allocates incidents as appropriate.
  • Information security: Applies and maintains specific security controls as required by organisational policy and local risk assessments. Communicates security risks and issues to business managers and others. Performs basic risk assessments for small information systems. Contributes to the identification of risks that arise from potential technical solution architectures. Suggests alternate solutions or countermeasures to mitigate risks. Defines secure systems configurations in compliance with intended architectures. Supports investigation of suspected attacks and security breaches.
  • System software: Monitors operational systems for resource usage and failure rates, to inform and facilitate system software tuning. Applies system software parameters to maximise throughput and efficiency. Installs and tests new versions of system software. Contributes to preparation of software implementation procedures with fall back contingency plans.

Other Details

Languages Required: A thorough knowledge of one of the two NATO languages, both written and spoken, is essential.

Languages Preferred: some knowledge of the other is desirable.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Modality:

Remuneration: 1,334.96 Euro (EUR) Monthly. Reasonable travel expenses to start on day 1 and to return to your home location once the internship is complete.
