Overview

Support the implementation of a phased array radar system using phasor hardware for the receive chain. Contribute to the development and synchronization of the transmit chain and implement basic radar signal processing.

Tasks Summary
  • Support the implementation of a phased array radar system using phasor hardware for the receive chain.
  • Contribute to the development and synchronization of the transmit chain.
  • Implement basic radar signal processing.
  • Assist with setting up, tuning and functional checks of radio frequency devices and software.
  • Resolve faults down to line replaceable unit level or escalate according to given procedures.
  • Carry out user confidence checks and escalate faults according to given procedures.
  • Integrate RF devices with software applications using static configurations.
  • Use a visualisation product, as guided, to design and create data visuals.
  • Select appropriate visualisation techniques from the options available.
  • Engage with the target user to prototype and refine specified visualisations.
  • Apply standard techniques to support the specification of measures and the collection and maintenance of data for measurement.
  • Generate, produce and distribute reports.
  • Use measurement tools for routine analysis of data.
  • Identify and implement improvements to data collection methods.
Experience Requirements

Knowledge of signal processing and programming (Python or C++), along with RF design and radar processing fundamentals. Deep signal processing expertise combined with advanced knowledge in one of the other domains and baseline understanding across the remaining areas is preferred.

Qualification Requirements

Currently studying towards a university-level degree or have recently graduated in the past 12 months.

Other Details

Languages Required: A thorough knowledge of one of the two NATO languages, both written and spoken, is essential.

Languages Preferred: Some knowledge of the other NATO language is desirable.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Modality: The Hague, Netherlands

Remuneration: 1,477.30 Euro (EUR) Monthly. Reasonable travel expenses to start on day 1 and to return to your home location once the internship is complete.
