Overview
The Accountability Officer ensures high standards of accountability and transparency by overseeing monitoring and evaluation, establishing community feedback mechanisms, and promoting transparency. The role involves capacity building and reporting on accountability measures.
Tasks Summary
- Receive, process, and respond to beneficiary feedback and complaints.
- Maintain a system for collecting, processing, and analyzing feedback data.
- Compile and analyze feedback data to produce monthly reports.
- Establish working relationships with CFM focal points.
- Conduct meetings with Area Managers to promote accountability.
- Ensure CFM help desk is set up during program distributions.
- Integrate accountability mechanisms into all project phases.
- Disseminate information on CFM channels.
- Conduct awareness campaigns.
- Build capacity of staff, CFM focal points, and partners on accountability principles.
- Review and update SOPs, tools, and training materials.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a relevant position in humanitarian accountability, gender, social inclusion / protection issues and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL).
- Previous experience in an international NGOs and/or institution is a strong advantage.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in social science, business, development, or any related field
