Overview
Provide technical and logistical support for road safety projects, focusing on technical coordination, data analysis, and reporting to improve road safety outcomes in various Asian countries.
Tasks Summary
- Provide technical and logistical support to the project manager and implementing partner.
- Undertake technical coordination with the implementing partner.
- Develop a quarterly progress report on the project.
- Conduct road safety data analysis.
- Prepare relevant reports and documents.
- Support effective implementation of ESCAP’s road safety projects.
- Strengthen the capacity of ESCAP and national partners.
- Support project implementation with a focus on strengthening road safety management systems.
- Promote data-driven and evidence-based policy development.
- Integrate gender-responsive and inclusive approaches.
- Support effective coordination of project activities.
- Contribute to stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute to knowledge exchange.
- Support the design and delivery of targeted capacity-building initiatives.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience supporting the implementation of UNRSF-funded projects or similar trust fund projects in Asia and the Pacific, including technical coordination, stakeholder engagement, and results monitoring in alignment with UNRSF priorities and log frame indicators.
- Desirable: Prior experience in road safety research and analysis in the Asia-Pacific region, and experience in transport planning and research for project implementation.
- Experience in supporting the implementation of projects that includes technical coordination, stakeholder engagement, and results monitoring.
Qualification Requirements
Advanced university degree in engineering, urban studies, economics, or related field.
