Overview
Develop a section of a toolkit for LDC policymakers on aligning food systems transformation with national climate action plans. Review and harmonize mapping reports for Mauritania, Sudan, and Yemen, and participate in national capacity-building workshops.
Tasks Summary
- Develop a section of a toolkit focusing on methodologies for policy and legal mapping, and stakeholder identification and consultation processes.
- Review, contribute, and harmonize three 20-page mapping reports (in English) for Mauritania, Sudan, and Yemen.
- Advise national consultants and follow up closely on their work.
- Contribute to the agenda and participate in national capacity-building workshops in Mauritania, Sudan, and Yemen, either in person or remotely.
- Prepare inputs for workshop sessions on food systems and climate action interactions.
- Adapt content to country contexts, respond to technical questions, document insights, and integrate elements into reports and the toolkit.
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in research and analysis related to food systems, climate change, or sustainable development planning is required.
- Experience in food systems or climate change policy-making in LDCs is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
• Master's degree or higher in food security/food systems, economics, public policy, agriculture, climate change, sustainable development or a related field is required.
