Overview
Provide legal advice and support to the School Meals Accelerator initiative, including drafting and negotiating agreements and advising on legal issues.
Tasks Summary
- Draft and negotiate contribution agreements with governments, private sector partners and other donors.
- Draft and negotiate agreements with recipients of resource transfers.
- Assist with contractual interpretation and disputes.
- Prepare legal opinions or advice on a wide range of legal issues.
- Prepare governance-related documentation, background papers, memoranda, reports and other legal documents.
- Advise on personnel-related matters.
- Participate in meetings/workshops requiring legal advice.
- Undertake extensive legal research and analysis.
- Identify potential liabilities and assist in risk management.
- Participate in negotiations and settlement of claims and disputes.
Experience Requirements
At least seven years of relevant professional experience as a lawyer in a law firm, in a private-sector legal department with international exposure or in an international organisation.
Qualification Requirements
Advanced University degree in Law, or First University degree in Law.
