Overview
The Junior Consultant will support WFP Cambodia in mainstreaming protection, disability inclusion, and social equity across all programme areas. The consultant will assist senior staff with analysis, programme support, coordination, and accountability mechanisms.
Tasks Summary
- Contribute to the development of GPI-related components of selected projects, plans, and processes.
- Provide project management and coordination support for specific GPI-related activities.
- Support data gathering, monitoring, and reporting systems.
- Assist in researching and analyzing protection and inclusion issues.
- Contribute to preparing accurate, timely PI-related reports, briefing notes, minutes, and analytical products.
- Liaise with internal counterparts to support effective coordination on PI integration.
- Support the identification and engagement of government entities, civil society groups, and networks.
- Assist in capacity-strengthening activities for WFP staff, cooperating partners, and government counterparts.
- Provide basic guidance to staff and field colleagues on GPI queries.
- Support AAP and protection-related tasks.
- Perform other duties as required.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in protection, disability inclusion, AAP, or related cross-cutting areas (including internships or volunteer experience).
- Experience supporting basic research, analysis, or field assessments related to social inclusion, community engagement, or programme design.
- Experience supporting project coordination, reporting, or evidence generation in NGOs, UN agencies, government, academia, or civil society.
- Experience working with vulnerable groups (women, persons with disabilities, ethnic minorities, rural communities) is an asset.
- Basic experience with data collection or M&E systems, including SADD, is desirable.
- Experience contributing to workshops, consultations, or training materials is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multicultural and multi-stakeholder environments.
Qualification Requirements
Advanced university degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Sciences, International Development, Rural Development, Communications, Gender Studies, or related fields. A first-level degree with additional relevant experience may also be considered.
