Overview
Support the planning, coordination, and execution of UNHCR’s participation in major global and private sector–facing events. The role will operate in a fast-paced environment requiring precision, discretion, and operational excellence.
Tasks Summary
- Support end-to-end coordination of UNHCR engagement at high-level fora.
- Manage and facilitate internal event taskforces.
- Draft, maintain, and update event-specific project documentation.
- Support the consolidation and tracking of leadership engagements.
- Liaise with internal divisions for background materials.
- Manage coordination channels with external partners.
- Support planning and execution of side events and meetings.
- Assist with venue coordination, scheduling, and invitation management.
- Contribute to post-event reporting and lessons-learned exercises.
- Maintain structured archives and knowledge repositories.
- Support the development and refinement of event processes and SOPs.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years (with Bachelor’s degree) or 2 years (with Master’s degree) of experience in project coordination, event management, partnership support, or other relevant operational roles.
- Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder processes or working groups.
- Experience supporting high-level meetings or events in international organizations, NGOs, governments, or the private sector.
- Desirable: Experience working with UN agencies or international humanitarian organizations.
- Desirable: Familiarity with private sector engagement, partnership building, or resource mobilization.
- Desirable: Experience supporting senior leadership and preparing briefing materials.
Qualification Requirements
- University degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in International Relations, Political Science, Communications, Business Administration, Event Management, or related field.
- Preferred: Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in one of the above fields.
