Overview

The Partnerships & Innovation Officer will support executives in day-to-day strategic planning, management of external engagement and communications, and contribute to the mission by leveraging AI for efficiency and enhancing external engagement.

Tasks Summary
  • Provide high-level briefings and intelligence summaries.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Act as a thought partner to the Deputy Resident Representative.
  • Utilise AI and digital tools for research and efficiency.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Deputy and key stakeholders.
  • Cultivate and maintain high-value relationships.
  • Accompany the Deputy in select high-level engagements.
  • Map and track funding trends.
  • Support the Deputy in navigating donor ecosystems.
  • Coordinate strategic high-level donor engagements and partnerships.
  • Drive workflow automation using AI.
  • Manage digital engagement, including social media and thought leadership content.
  • Support communications function of the Deputy.
  • Utilise AI for agenda-setting, data analytics, and optimising internal processes.
  • Ensure meetings, engagements, and missions are impeccably executed.
  • Track commitments, action points, and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide oversight in the preparation of high-level dialogues, round tables, and strategy sessions.
Experience Requirements
  • 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Skills and experience in a similar role, preferably supporting high-level executives.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to synthetize complex information.
  • Well-established experience in the use of digital tools, AI and others to improve performance and work efficiency.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent experiencing in verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with office and productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Oracle, Google Workspace).
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms.
  • Experience in knowledge sharing around areas of expertise.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public or Business administration, International Relations, Law, Commerce, Arts & Communication or any related fields.

Languages Required: • English, Level: Fluent, Required

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: 12 months (with possibility of extension)

Work Modality: Onsite

Remuneration: • A Monthly Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA): R23 820.16 per month; • A once off entry lumpsum of $400 at the start of the assignment; • Medical insurance; Life cover, and annual leave; • Access to all learning platforms; • A once off exit lumpsum at the end of the assignment.
