Overview
The incumbent is responsible for contributing to policy development and providing support for the organisation and management of committees, meetings, events, and projects to enhance the security of critical undersea infrastructure.
Tasks Summary
- Collaborate and liaise with stakeholders within the NATO Enterprise, including NATO Military Authorities.
- Organise and participate in conferences, events, and committee meetings.
- Support NATO’s Critical Undersea Infrastructure Network.
- Contribute to cooperation activities within NATO’s partnership frameworks and with external entities.
- Organise and support visits of external stakeholders to NATO HQ.
- Assist in organising related events and activities, particularly within NATO’s CUI-Network.
- Provide input and support for relevant programmes.
- Support the development and implementation of NATO’s policies, assessments, and reports.
- Draft policy inputs, briefing materials, speeches, and other products.
- Keep abreast of matters relating to the security of critical undersea infrastructure.
- Track, collect, categorise, and share knowledge on critical undersea infrastructure issues.
- Maintain information regarding points of contact lists, committee/board databases, and online portals.
- Perform any other related duty as assigned.
Experience Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience relevant for this position, preferably in a large international organisation supporting political consultations and policy development.
- Familiarity with strategic issues and challenges facing the Alliance and NATO’s geopolitical environment.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills, including experience in preparing background and speaking notes for senior management.
- Proven experience in stakeholders’ management (such as interaction with representatives of governments and officials from industry, organization of conferences/events).
- Strong drive for teamwork.
Qualification Requirements
• Possess a university degree, preferably in the field of political science, international security or related studies from an institute of recognised standing.
