Overview

Responsible for the coordination, implementation, and functional management of the intelligence aspects of Targeting Systems, capabilities and applications, as well as coordinating interfaces and optimizing sharing to/from Targeting Systems with other domains and functional services.

Tasks Summary
  • Responsible for the implementation and daily operation of the intelligence support functions of Targeting Systems capabilities, applications, and interfaces.
  • Advises on data management for intelligence capabilities, including metadata definition and maintenance, data import and export, data quality, data cleansing, data values, taxonomies, and ontologies.
  • Responsible for the implementation of Intelligence data standards and data management practices.
  • Interacts daily with ACO users regarding the operation and optimization of Targeting Systems capabilities, applications, and interfaces.
  • Advises on optimizing the ACO operation of the intelligence support functions of Targeting Systems capabilities, applications, and interfaces.
  • Responsible for ACO governance and oversight of ACO Targeting Systems capabilities, applications, and interfaces.
  • Advises on the implementation of changes to business practices to take advantage of new technology and to meet changes in information requirements.
  • Provides support and expert advice regarding data management.
  • Represents ACO Intelligence at appropriate committees, boards, working groups, and user groups.
  • Organizes continuous improvement and management of processes and tools supporting intelligence capabilities and functional services.
  • Coordinates with other functional areas and Intel domains to achieve interoperability with Intelligence systems.
  • Ensures that the intelligence support functions of Targeting Systems capabilities, applications, and interfaces are operated in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Analyses, prioritizes, and coordinates overall ACO user requirements for the intelligence support functions of Targeting Systems capabilities, applications, and interfaces.
  • Responsible for the development of policy, directives, and guidance documents related to the intelligence support functions of Targeting Systems.
  • Liaises with CIS support agencies on a daily basis, regarding systems implementation and support issues.
  • Provides inputs to various CIS documents and concepts related to the intelligence support functions of Targeting Systems.
  • Provides recommendations and inputs into intelligence policy, concepts and planning documents related to the intelligence support functions of Targeting Systems capabilities, applications, and interfaces.
  • Prepares staff studies and briefings to support conferences and meetings.
  • May be required to direct and supervise the work priorities of one or more HQ multifunctional teams.
  • Performs general staff functions and coordinates with other staff elements, commands and outside agencies as required.
  • Contributes to the development and validation of new requirements, evaluation of options for their satisfaction, and recommendations regarding the most effective solution.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant operational experience in Joint Targeting in an operational environment.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Joint ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) in an active operational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in the operation, governance, or management of intelligence or targeting systems, including data standards, metadata, data quality, or system interfaces.
  • Experience working in a multinational military or intelligence environment, preferably within NATO or equivalent structures.
  • Experience providing briefings, written reports, and expert advice to senior leadership, committees, or multinational working groups.
  • Experience coordinating user requirements, capability development, or system implementation projects.
Qualification Requirements

• University Degree in library, information science, management information systems, computer science or related discipline and 2 years function related experience, or Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in that discipline leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience.

Contract Duration: • Newly recruited staff will be offered a definite duration contract of three years normally followed by an indefinite duration contract.

Work Modality: • The work is normally performed in a Normal NATO office working environment.

Remuneration: • 6,713.06 Euro (EUR) Monthly
