Overview
The Danish Refugee Council is seeking an experienced MMC Manager to lead the overall MMC strategy and oversee its implementation across the Middle East and Asia region. The role involves managing the MMC MEA team, budgets, and projects, as well as developing research agendas and engaging in policy discussions.
Tasks Summary
- Develop and implement the strategy and workplan for MMC MEA.
- Manage the MMC MEA team and budgets.
- Develop the expanding role of MMC MEA, including regional fundraising and external representation.
- Manage external consultants.
- Develop and update the research agenda of MMC MEA.
- Coordinate and manage research initiatives and analysis.
- Produce high-quality research outputs and in-depth analysis.
- Maintain and manage the regular dissemination of MMC products.
- Take overall responsibility for the 4Mi in the region.
- Engage in regional policy discussions.
- Represent MMC MEA in regional fora.
- Establish new partnerships with regional stakeholders.
- Regularly present MMC research and analysis at conferences.
- Contribute to the global MMC network.
- Coordinate with the DRC Hub.
- Coordinate with other MMC regional hubs.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant international position.
- Strong background in migration and a clear understanding of the regional mixed migration dynamics in the Middle East and Asia regions.
- Proven people management experience, including managing staff remotely.
- Proven track record of producing publications.
- Proven experience in leading and conducting research.
- Proven programme management skills.
- Field protection experience is an added advantage.
- Human rights/protection knowledge and knowledge of international refugee law.
Qualification Requirements
• Advanced university degree in International Political Sciences, Social Sciences or similar.
