Overview
The purpose of this position is to lead and strengthen information management for DRC’s HDP programme by developing and implementing effective data systems, standards, and processes that ensure the collection, analysis, protection, and dissemination of high-quality information. The role supports evidence-based decision-making, strategic planning, reporting, and advocacy.
Tasks Summary
- Contribute to the development of DRC’s information management strategy.
- Ensure the compliance of information systems and process with applicable standards and guidelines.
- Ensure effective data management by developing data collection tools and methodologies, designing and managing database systems.
- Ensure availability of updated and quality information for informed decision-making.
- Participate to the mapping of the HDP Program activities using Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
- Drafts information products such as reports, charts and infographics.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a dissemination plan.
- Act as the liaison and Point of Contact between DRC HDP programme and UNMAS and other Mine Action actors.
- Ensure cooperation with the MEAL department and respond to requests for information for reporting purposes.
Experience Requirements
- 2 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in information management, database management, mapping and web development.
- Knowledge of different data collection methodologies and proven capacity to analyze statistical information.
- Proven abilities in data collection, compilation, analysis and reporting with ability to write in a clear and concise manner and effective oral communication.
- Proven skills in infographic management.
Qualification Requirements
• University degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Statistics, Social Sciences or a relevant field
