Overview

The intern will contribute to the work of the Section by assisting in research, cataloguing information, analysing data, and supporting programmes and projects related to economic affairs and sustainable development.

Tasks Summary

• Assisting in conducting research on capital markets, bond markets, and innovative finance technologies.
• Cataloguing information and analysing data on capital markets, domestic private investment, and innovative financing structures.
• Supporting officers with programmes and projects related to bond markets, economic development, and innovative finance.
• Carrying out other tasks as required by the Section and the Division.

Experience Requirements

No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.

Qualification Requirements

• Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
• Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent).
• Be computer literate in standard software applications.
• Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in English or French is required.

Languages Preferred: Working knowledge of the other working language (English or French) is desirable. Knowledge of another United Nations language is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Modality: In-Person

Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
