Overview

This internship position is located within the Division on International Trade and Commodities at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. The role involves supporting technical papers, analytical studies, and communication activities related to trade, gender, and development.

Tasks Summary

• Drafts inputs for technical papers and analytical studies on the gender ramifications of trade, mining, and critical minerals policies.
• Attends meetings and prepare summary reports.
• Support communication and outreach activities related to the work programme.
• Provide assistance in the organization and servicing of webinars, round tables, seminars, etc.
• Provides inputs to documentation for technical cooperation programmes and projects.
• Prepare inputs for presentations by members of the team.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Experience Requirements

No working experience is required for this internship. Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.

Qualification Requirements

• Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,
• Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
• Should be computer literate in standard software applications.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency oral and written in English is required for the internship.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of French is desirable

Contract Duration: six months

Work Modality: in-person basis and/or remotely

Remuneration: The Internship Programme is unpaid. All costs of travel, accommodation, medical insurance and living expenses must be covered by the intern.
