The Associate Reporting Officer contributes to the production, editing, and quality control of reports for their Area of Responsibility, promoting UNHCR's vision, mission, and strategic goals through accurate and timely information sharing.
At least three years of relevant professional experience, ideally within international organizations, UN agencies, or humanitarian operations. Experience in project development, strong writing skills, monitoring, donor relations, and reporting is highly valued. Prior work in displacement settings or roles supporting donor visibility and engagement is desirable. Experience in conducting, participating in and reporting on meetings, and drafting reports. Experience in programme/project development, planning, implementation, and/or monitoring. Experience in a field mission and at Headquarters / in the UN Common System and country context is desirable. Experience undertaking operational and analytical work in the field of international affairs, international security, humanitarian affairs, development or journalism is desirable. Donor relations or liaison with media is desirable.
A strong educational background in Journalism, Communications, International Relations, Political Science, Law, or a related field. Undergraduate degree; or Graduate degree; or Doctorate degree.
Languages Required: Knowledge of English and UN working language of the duty station if not English.
