Overview

The role provides specialized technical support and ensures data quality and analysis for policy and programmatic activities that effectively address food assistance needs. The primary responsibility is to provide optimal support by monitoring and evaluating WFP activities.

Tasks Summary
  • Prepare a series of reports and data analyses, highlighting trends and ensuring assistance meets WFP standards and quality control.
  • Support the identification of areas for program improvement.
  • Support data collection, monitoring, and reporting on the effects of WFP projects and programs.
  • Collect and summarize data from assistance projects or programs, analyze data, and prepare reports.
  • Support the consolidation, verification, and review of distribution reports from cooperating partners.
  • Support the provision of standard training to cooperating partners on WFP operational practices and monitoring tools.
  • Ensure timely encoding and verification of distribution data in WEB and COMET.
  • Propose improvements to field monitoring and evaluation processes and procedures.
  • Support the targeting process and evaluation systems for resilience projects and programs.
  • Ensure required surveys for targeting, verification, and evaluation plans are conducted.
  • Conduct field visits and prepare field visit reports with programmatic recommendations.
  • Support capacity building of WFP staff, cooperating partners, and national government.
  • Serve as a point of contact for operational issues and problems.
Experience Requirements
  • 5 years of work experience in monitoring and evaluation of resilience or climate change projects and programs.
  • Solid technical skills in monitoring using the logical framework.
Qualification Requirements

• Completion of secondary school and a higher university degree in economics, food security, statistics, economic development, performance management, monitoring & evaluation, geography, data science, public health/nutrition, or other related fields.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in oral and written French. • Very good level in French.

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge of English.

Contract Duration: 6 months
