Overview

The Business 4 Land Intern will support the Business 4 Land team in the organization of critical projects, deliverables, and events, particularly in the lead-up to COP17.

Tasks Summary
  • - supporting the B4L team in the organization of COP17, including the B4L Forum and the Rangeland Investment Forum
  • supporting the design and delivery of B4L events
  • leading on business accreditations for B4L membership and COP
  • designing digital content for the B4L communication channels
  • providing ad-hoc support to other B4L projects and deliverables.
Experience Requirements
  • Applicants to the UNCCD Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
  • Knowledge of digital design software (Adobe, Canva, etc.) is an asset.
  • Ability to develop digital content and social media posts in desirable.
  • Experience in event coordination is desireable.
  • Experience in private sector involvement in development or sustainable rangeland management is an asset.
Qualification Requirements
  • - Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a secondary university degree programme (minimum Master’s degree or equivalent).
  • Applicants are required to have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Teams.
Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 06 months (part-time)

Work Modality: Hybrid(Bonn office and remote)

Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
